Engineering Manager – Structural Projects

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Construction team in London. The role combines remote flexibility with occasional on‑site visits, offering the chance to shape complex structural projects from tender through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of structural design information, ensuring programmes and schedules are met.
• Assess and mitigate technical risks for both temporary and permanent works.
• Support tender and bid winning through design expertise, feasibility studies and innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence across the team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an engineering role with a main contractor, especially in structural refurbishment.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills.
• Relevant engineering qualification (minimum HND/HNC).
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to an inclusive environment.
