About the role
Academics is seeking enthusiastic English Teachers for secondary schools across West London. Whether you are an experienced educator or an early‑career teacher, you will join a network that offers daily supply, short‑term contracts, long‑term placements and permanent positions.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons for KS3, KS4 and, where applicable, KS5.
- Inspire students to develop a love of reading, writing and critical analysis.
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that drive academic progress.
- Assess, monitor and provide constructive feedback to learners.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school as appropriate.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
