EU VAT Manager – Tax Planning for Amazon Business

About the role

Amazon is looking for an EU VAT Manager to join its VAT advisory team, focusing on B2B EU VAT and invoicing for Amazon Business. The role involves deepening knowledge of Amazon’s business model, owning projects, meeting tight deadlines, and collaborating with finance, business, and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and communication of initiatives with VAT and tax dependencies.
• Identify and assess VAT‑related risks and opportunities, providing sound judgement on financial, operational and customer impact.
• Partner with finance, business and technology teams, preparing clear documentation for analyses and decisions.
• Communicate effectively and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Assist in engagements with external advisors and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex VAT regulations into practical requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with VBA, Python, SQL or other database languages.
