Family & Childcare Solicitor (5+ Years PQE)

About the role

This is a key position within a growing family law practice, offering high‑quality work and genuine responsibility. You will join an established team with an existing caseload, allowing you to start delivering expert advice from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients across the full spectrum of family childcare matters, including child arrangements, contact disputes, parental responsibility, adoption, emergency applications, protection orders and public‑law proceedings.
• Conduct advocacy in courts and tribunals, handling complex and sensitive cases.
• Manage a varied childcare caseload, ensuring timely and effective client service.
• Participate in business development and relationship‑building activities to grow the practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) as a Childcare Solicitor or Legal Executive.
• Proven track record in handling complex family childcare matters.
• Strong advocacy experience with confidence in court representation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work well within a team.
