Family & Childcare Solicitor Director (Birmingham)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Family and Childcare Solicitor Director to lead our Birmingham team. Reporting directly to the Board, you will oversee complex family matters and ensure the delivery of high‑quality legal services to high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Report to and collaborate with the Board to meet performance targets.
• Manage and oversee complex family matters, including divorce, financial disputes, child abduction, adoption and injunctions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to solicitors, trainee solicitors and caseworkers.
• Supervise and mentor legal staff to handle appropriate caseloads and complexities.
• Assist with the delivery of training and professional development programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor regulated by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority.
• Extensive experience in family and childcare law, handling high‑value divorce and international child matters.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a legal team.
• Strong understanding of injunctions, maintenance, property and pension issues.
