Family Law Solicitor (Hybrid) – Manchester

About the role

We are expanding our Family Law team and are looking for newly‑qualified (NQ) and associate solicitors to join us on a hybrid basis. You will manage a diverse portfolio of privately funded family cases from start to finish, delivering a client‑focused service without needing to bring an existing client book.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, negotiating to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Record all case information accurately using our case management system.
• Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit targets.
• Draft, review and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• For senior or lead roles, provide line‑management, mentor junior team members, delegate work and contribute to departmental strategy and marketing.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX qualified with experience in privately funded family law matters.
• Proven track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong IT competence, including use of a case management system.
• Excellent relationship‑building, attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to embrace change.
