Family Law Solicitor – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

We are expanding our Family Law team and are looking for qualified solicitors to join Co‑op Legal Services in Manchester. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home and attend the office one day per week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of privately funded family law matters from start to finish.
• Negotiate actively to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Record case information accurately using our case management system.
• Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit targets.
• For senior or lead positions, provide line‑management, mentorship, and contribute to departmental strategy.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX‑qualified with experience in private family law.
• Proven ability to meet chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Resilient and comfortable embracing change.

Required skills

• General IT proficiency, including use of a case management system.
