Family Lawyer – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Family Law Solicitor to join our growing team in Manchester. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and offers a hybrid working pattern with one day per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of privately funded family law matters, from initial advice through to resolution.
• Negotiate settlements and draft, audit and review legal documents and correspondence.
• Use our case management system to record information accurately and maintain up‑to‑date files.
• Meet individual and team chargeable‑time and profit‑cost targets.
• For senior or lead appointments, provide line‑management, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to departmental strategy and marketing.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX‑qualified with experience in privately funded family law.
• Proven ability to work towards and achieve chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and resilience.
• Excellent relationship‑building and customer‑service abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a case management system.
