Family Solicitor – 2+ PQE – Somerset

About the role

An established and highly regarded law firm in Somerset is seeking a Family Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE to join its growing family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working across a broad range of both private and public family law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload while supporting senior team members on more complex matters.
• Advise clients on a wide variety of family law issues, including divorce, financial remedy, private children proceedings, cohabitation disputes, domestic abuse injunctions, care proceedings, public law children matters, child protection, special guardianship and adoption.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' post‑qualification experience in family law.
• Experience handling both private and public family law matters.
• Strong client‑care and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive and team‑oriented approach.
