Family Solicitor – Hybrid (Manchester, Bristol, Sheffield or Stratford)

About the role

We are expanding our Family Law team and are looking for newly‑qualified (NQ) and associate solicitors to join us on a hybrid basis. You will work from our Manchester city‑centre office one day a week and remotely the rest of the time, handling a diverse range of family matters.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of privately funded family law matters from start to finish.
• Negotiate actively to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Record case information accurately using our case management system.
• Meet individual and team chargeable‑time and profit‑cost targets.
• Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• For senior or lead roles, provide line‑management, mentorship and contribute to departmental strategy and marketing.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX‑qualified with experience in privately funded family law.
• Proven ability to meet chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and resilience.
• Excellent relationship‑building and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a case management system.
• Good general IT skills.
