Finance Director – Consumer Products (Manchester)

About the role

We are partnering with an ambitious, privately‑owned consumer products business that designs, sources and distributes market‑leading goods to the UK’s top retailers. The Finance Director will sit on the Executive Leadership Team, shaping financial strategy and driving commercial performance across multiple international entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group’s financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning.
• Optimise cash flow, treasury and working‑capital across international operations.
• Deliver insightful board reporting, commercial analysis and statutory compliance.
• Support operational, commercial and supply‑chain decision making.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to improve profitability and performance.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvement and systems development.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team.
• Assist with strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions and investment decisions.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Previous experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader.
• Background in consumer products, retail, wholesale, manufacturing or international trading.
• Proven track record of improving finance processes, controls and reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling capability.
• Experience managing multi‑entity, international finance operations is advantageous.
