Finance Manager BFS

About the role

The Finance Manager BFS will act as a strategic business partner to the UK Foodservice commercial teams, supporting performance, improving processes and delivering actionable insights that influence decision‑making. Reporting to the UK Consumer Finance Director, the role combines financial ownership with hands‑on collaboration across sales and commercial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the full P&L for the UK Foodservice business, providing analysis and recommendations.
• Partner with the commercial team on growth initiatives and profitability improvement.
• Lead finance support for customer negotiations, tenders and trade accrual balance‑sheet management.
• Deliver analysis on key financial drivers, identifying risks, opportunities and improvement areas.
• Support and challenge commercial teams on pricing, promotional spend and margin optimisation.
• Contribute to O&R processes, volume and spend trend analysis.
• Provide financial guidance on commercial projects to ensure value creation.
• Deliver commercial finance training to local teams.
• Ensure accurate, timely distribution of finance reports and business intelligence.
• Support month‑end, quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting standards while maintaining compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes‑Oxley.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, resource‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and time‑management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; ACCA, CIMA or MBA preferred.
• Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis and business partnering with commercial, marketing, sales or supply‑chain teams.
• Deep understanding of P&L and balance‑sheet management.
• Proven ability to analyse sales trends, forecasts and financial impact of decisions.
