Financial Controller – Hybrid (Bath/Bristol)

About the role

MyCookieDough Group is scaling its retail, manufacturing and international operations and needs a commercially‑minded Financial Controller to own the finance function. Reporting to the founders and board, you will ensure accurate reporting, strong controls and provide insight that drives growth in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management
• Budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis
• Margin, cost and profitability reporting across multiple business areas
• Develop KPI dashboards and performance reporting
• Improve financial controls, processes and systems
• Support operational teams with financial insight and decision‑making
• Manage relationships with external accountants, payroll providers and advisors
• Support investor, banking and funding reporting requirements

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or strong equivalent experience
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset
• Excellent management accounts and forecasting experience
• Comfortable operating in a growing SME or scale‑up environment
• Hands‑on, proactive and solutions‑focused
• Ability to work closely with founders and senior leadership teams
• Highly desirable: experience in hospitality, retail, manufacturing, FMCG or multi‑site businesses; experience with stock, product costing or operational finance; experience across multiple entities or revenue streams
