Financial Controller

About the role

Jalin Design is seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to bring structure, control and visibility to its global luxury uniform business. Based in London, you will work closely with the Finance Director to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close, bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage AR and AP cycles, track weekly cash position and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Align supplier payments with production timelines and delivery schedules.
• Oversee UK payroll provider data, ensure PAYE and HMRC submissions are timely, and manage international payroll through EOR providers, including US payroll cycles.
• Deliver all statutory filings and compliance deadlines for UK Companies House, corporation tax, VAT, international entities and ISO standards.
• Maintain a master finance and compliance calendar with 30/14/7‑day visibility, coordinating with the Finance Director and external advisors.
• Supervise a junior accountant, ensuring accurate AR, AP, reconciliations and payroll preparation.

• Comfortable managing multiple entities, priorities and junior team members.

Required skills

• Strong UK accounting and tax knowledge.
• Experience in multi‑entity finance environments.
• International payroll and EOR exposure.
• Advanced Excel and finance systems capability.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range £50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience.
