Financial Controller – £75k‑£90k – London

About the role

We are partnering with a confidential professional services consultancy in central London to find an experienced Financial Controller. This role offers a salary of £75,000‑£90,000 per year and the chance to progress to a Finance Director position as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage invoice‑finance relationships and enforce credit‑control discipline.
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Mentor a small finance team and partner with operational leaders to drive better decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager in a people‑led or consultancy environment.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or near completion).
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for improving processes.
• Experience in professional services or project‑based businesses.

Required skills

• Xero accounting software.
• Cloud‑based financial systems.
