Financial Lines Renewals Underwriter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Lines Renewals Underwriter to join a leading global insurer’s Manchester team. The role focuses on managing existing business, underwriting a broad range of financial lines risks and supporting a dedicated panel of brokers across a defined region.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal business for financial lines, including Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors & Officers (D&O) and emerging Cyber risks.
• Manage a portfolio of broker relationships, ensuring strong service and renewal rates.
• Assess risks and set premiums for policies ranging from £5,000 to £100,000.
• Develop expertise in multiple financial lines products and stay updated on market trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver cross‑class insurance solutions.

Required profile

• Proven underwriting experience within financial lines, preferably PI or D&O.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Motivation to develop knowledge of Cyber insurance.
