Forward Deployed Engineer – EMEA

About the role

Runpod is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its Revenue Team and help customers adopt its AI Developer Cloud platform across the EMEA region. You will act as a technical liaison, ensuring smooth onboarding, troubleshooting, and ongoing success for high‑spending users.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in sales meetings, present Runpod’s technology, provide architectural guidance and build proof‑of‑concept solutions for prospective customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to configuration, performance, compatibility, or code errors.
• Use code analysis, scripting, log review and remote access to identify root causes and deliver fixes or work‑arounds.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, support and infrastructure teams to address escalated tickets and improve the platform.
• Contribute feedback to product development and create technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles and training materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with applied AI use cases such as inference, fine‑tuning or LLM‑based applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python (including Django, Flask, PyTorch).
• JavaScript development with React and Node.js.
• Go programming.
• Linux/Ubuntu environments, Docker containerization.
• SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, DNS) and data‑center hardware.
• Experience deploying and managing AI/ML models as services or APIs.
