FP&A Analyst – Finance & Commercial Planning

About the role

We are seeking a motivated FP&A Analyst to join a fast‑growing finance team within a respected legal services firm in Birmingham City Centre. This role offers the chance to move beyond pure number‑crunching and become a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, influencing commercial decisions and shaping future performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Analyse performance across departments and translate complex data into actionable insight.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior non‑finance stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain financial models, KPI dashboards and trend analyses.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and challenge assumptions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in FP&A, finance analysis or management accounting with exposure to budgeting or forecasting.
• Part‑qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, aiming to progress in commercial finance.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret large volumes of data.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to senior leaders.
