About the role
We are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join our growing team in Cambridge. You will work on cutting‑edge defence and homeland‑security projects, contributing to the full product lifecycle from concept to prototype and proof‑of‑concept solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement FPGA firmware using VHDL or Verilog.
- Capture and analyse system requirements and translate them into robust FPGA architectures.
- Develop, test and validate FPGA implementations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system integration, prototyping and technical problem‑solving.
- Support innovative technology development for defence, communications and signal‑processing applications.
Required profile
- Proven experience developing FPGA firmware with VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Hands‑on experience with FPGA toolchains such as Vivado or Quartus.
- Track record of designing and delivering FPGA‑based solutions.
- Strong understanding of FPGA verification, debugging and testing methodologies.
- Relevant degree in Electronics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
