GCE A Level Physics Examiner (2016 Spec) – Full‑time

About the role

Pearson is seeking qualified individuals to act as examiners for the GCE A Level Physics (2016 specification). You will mark candidates' responses remotely, using the ePEN digital marking platform, and contribute to the assessment process that supports teaching quality.

Key responsibilities

• Mark scripts accurately and consistently according to the pre‑defined mark scheme.
• Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
• Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
• Complete all required administrative tasks as specified.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of recent teaching experience (within the last 8 years) at A Level or equivalent.
• Degree in Physics or a closely related subject; if the degree is in another discipline, a minimum of three years teaching A Level Physics is required.
• Qualified teacher status or equivalent teaching experience.
• Retired teachers with extensive experience are also welcome.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ePEN marking system.
