Geography Teacher – Southwark Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the borough of Southwark. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of extending to Key Stage 5. The position starts in April (after half‑term) or September as a permanent appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Geography lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the department’s curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.
• Commitment to delivering high‑standards of teaching in Southwark.
• Effective classroom management skills.
