GI Consultant – General Insurance Advisor

About the role

Wesleyan is seeking a motivated GI Consultant to join its General Insurance team in Birmingham. Working on a hybrid basis, you will help customers protect their homes, vehicles and travel plans while delivering advice that meets regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored advice on Home, Motor and Travel Insurance products.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls for renewals, policy changes and new business.
• Meet individual and team targets for income, retention and service quality.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and generate quality referrals.
• Process policy amendments, premium recalculations and payment updates.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and issue policies promptly.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of advice‑led customer service in a regulated environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Organised, self‑motivated, target‑driven and resilient under pressure.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) or relevant qualifications.
