Graduate Building Surveyor (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join a national multi‑disciplinary consultancy based in Manchester. The role is hybrid and primarily supports the education sector, while also covering health, rail, residential and commercial projects across the North West.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver condition surveys of windows, roofs, boiler replacements and other building elements.
• Manage contractors and report directly to the Director.
• Support the Project Lead with Design Risk Registers and maintain risk documentation.
• Undertake measured surveys, produce existing and proposed drawings, and prepare tender documents, working drawings, specifications and schedules of works under supervision.
• Evaluate tenders, assist in tender reports, and carry out planned maintenance surveys to identify defects and recommend remedial actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Professional membership with CIAT, RICS or a similar body.
• Ability to manage client and stakeholder expectations.
• Intermediate experience authoring models in Revit.
• Routine use of Newforma Project Center for document management.
• Commercial and contractual awareness.
