About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. This role provides a valuable stepping‑stone for graduates who wish to pursue a career in primary education and gain hands‑on classroom experience before entering teacher‑training programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist qualified teachers across Key Stages 1 and 2 with daily classroom activities.
- Support pupils academically and socially, including delivering targeted interventions.
- Help manage and support children with additional learning needs, including SEND.
- Contribute to lesson preparation, resource organisation, and classroom management.
Required profile
- A degree in any discipline.
- Strong interest in becoming a primary teacher.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children.
- Experience with children (e.g., tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
- Basic proficiency with standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
