Head of AI and Automation

About the role

The Head of AI and Automation will shape the AI strategy for a large global brand based in Birmingham. Reporting directly to the IT Director, you will drive the delivery and governance of AI and automation solutions across UK operations, influencing how the business works through intelligent technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the AI and automation roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of AI projects from concept through production and business‑as‑usual.
• Establish governance, security and regulatory frameworks for AI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration.
• Measure and report on ROI and business value of AI initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI and automation strategy and delivery in a senior role.
• Demonstrated ability to generate measurable business impact and ROI.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and change‑leadership skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods or supply‑chain environments is a plus.

What we offer

• Salary £90,000‑£100,000 depending on experience.
