Head of Credit

About the role

Robert Half is partnering with a market‑leading B2B services provider to recruit a Head of Credit on an initial interim basis, with the potential to become permanent. This senior leadership position will oversee a large, established credit function during a period of significant transformation, including a major ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a credit function through a team of team leaders, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Review and improve end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash processes, including credit control, customer disputes, credit risk, account creation and legal recovery.
• Drive improvements in cash collection, dispute resolution and overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations and other stakeholders to resolve root causes of customer disputes.
• Support the upcoming ERP implementation, ensuring data migration and system readiness for the credit function.
• Identify quick‑win opportunities and implement sustainable process enhancements.
• Provide clear leadership and direction throughout the transformation period, taking a hands‑on approach when needed.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading a Credit, Order‑to‑Cash or Shared Services function.
• Proven ability to manage managers and large operational teams.
• Track record of improving processes, controls and team performance.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Finance and Operations.
• Experience delivering change within complex, transformational or system‑implementation programmes.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and sound decision‑making.
