Head of Digital & IT

About the role

The Head of Digital & IT will shape and execute the digital and IT strategy for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) organisation based in Manchester. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure technology operations run smoothly while driving innovative digital solutions that support core business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital and IT roadmap aligned with overall business goals.
• Oversee day‑to‑day management of IT systems, infrastructure and security compliance.
• Lead the delivery of consumer‑focused digital initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate across functions to integrate technology solutions seamlessly.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of projects and services.
• Monitor emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading digital and IT functions in a comparable fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure and AI‑driven transformation.
• Experience in the FMCG sector or a similarly dynamic industry is desirable.
• Excellent leadership, team‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
