Head of Finance

About the role

This is a high‑impact leadership position reporting directly to the CEO of an ambitious, scaling international business. The Head of Finance will act as a commercial partner to the senior leadership team, driving strategic growth, investment decisions and overall business performance in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape strategic growth, investment decisions and business performance.
• Provide robust financial challenge across risks, opportunities and performance delivery, acting as a key commercial advisor.
• Lead the full financial cycle: budgeting, quarterly re‑forecasting, monthly management accounts and executive performance reporting.
• Own weekly cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management and financial stability across the group.
• Oversee finance cadence including payment approvals, operational dashboards and resource planning.
• Lead pricing strategy, commercial modelling, bid support, contract negotiation and investment appraisal.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity, financial controls and governance across all entities.
• Manage statutory reporting, audit processes, VAT submissions and regulatory compliance.
• Govern CAPEX and evaluate financial impact of investment and growth initiatives.
• Drive finance transformation: ERP modernisation, systems development, process improvement and MI/BI enhancement.
• Build and develop a high‑performing international finance function with strong accountability and commercial ownership.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banking partners, insurers and professional advisors.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent) with proven senior finance leadership experience.
• Strong track record of driving profitability, commercial performance and cash‑flow in fast‑paced businesses.
• Commercially astute with experience influencing strategic decisions at senior level.
• Expertise in forecasting, planning, financial modelling and performance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams in complex environments.
