Head of Group Reporting & Controls

About the role

The business is a high‑growth, international, private‑equity backed media company seeking a senior finance leader to own group reporting, technical accounting and financial controls across multiple geographies. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will shape a scalable, best‑in‑class finance function while working closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group consolidation process across a complex, multi‑entity structure.
• Oversee technical accounting areas including business combinations, impairment reviews, revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Support acquisition activity, handling accounting integration into the group.
• Design and implement a scalable internal controls framework.
• Roll out a group‑wide finance operating model.
• Partner with regional finance teams and senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive consistency, accuracy and continuous improvement in group reporting processes.

Required profile

• Approximately 10+ years post‑qualified experience with a strong technical accounting background.
• Experience in consolidation and complex group reporting.
• Background in a Big 4 or equivalent environment is preferred.
• Experience in an international or private‑equity backed setting is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work within a matrix structure and influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercially aware, adaptable and resilient in a fast‑paced environment.
