Head of Group Reporting – Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a high‑calibre Head of Group Reporting to lead the central finance function of a fast‑growing FTSE‑listed group. You will act as the technical accounting lead, ensuring world‑class financial reporting while supporting strategic corporate projects. The role reports to the Group Finance Controller with direct exposure to the CFO and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of monthly, half‑year and full‑year consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
• Own all subsidiary statutory accounts and ensure compliance with UK listing requirements.
• Act as finance lead for M&A activity, including due diligence, purchase price allocation and post‑acquisition integration.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of four qualified and part‑qualified accountants.
• Provide expert advice on complex accounting treatments and drive implementation of new IFRS standards.
• Continuously improve the group consolidation process and internal control framework (UK SOX readiness).

Required profile

• ACA qualified accountant with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a group or central finance function of a FTSE‑listed or large PE‑backed multinational.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and experience producing complex Annual Reports and Accounts.
• Exposure to M&A, group reorganisations or other complex corporate transactions.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑development capabilities.
• Comfortable working in a high‑growth environment with tight reporting deadlines.
