Head of Launch – Europe

About the role

Quartermaster AI is seeking a Head of Launch for Europe to lead market entry and expansion across the continent’s highly regulated maritime sector. You will act as both chief diplomat and operational strategist, de‑risking regulatory challenges while securing key maritime partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with national maritime administrations, flag state authorities, and EU bodies to ensure compliance and market acceptance.
• Develop and execute scalable launch playbooks, import logistics, and vendor ecosystems for SmartMast hardware deployment.
• Identify, negotiate, and close partnership agreements with fleet operators, ports, and maritime organizations to secure vessel capacity.
• Recruit, scale, and mentor a cross‑disciplinary European team covering field operations, market support, and stakeholder relations.
• Provide continuous market intelligence and feedback to global product, engineering, legal, and marketing teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years in senior operations, market launch, business development, or public policy, preferably in maritime or other highly regulated industries.
• Deep knowledge of European maritime, trade, and regulatory frameworks, including flag‑state and port‑state control regimes.
• Proven ability to navigate government processes, multilateral bodies, and public‑private partnerships.
• Track record of closing complex B2B partnerships, joint ventures, or fleet agreements.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French, German, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, or Spanish is highly preferred.
