Head of Original Video

About the role

Pubity Group creates video content across a wide range of formats, from fast‑turn short‑form pieces to documentary series. As Head of Original Video you will own the process of turning promising formats into scalable shows, franchises or longer‑form productions, working with a global team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the slate strategy, selecting formats with potential to scale from social pilots to returning series or franchises.
• Apply and refine the pilot‑scale‑pause framework to guide formats through development stages.
• Match ideas to the appropriate format, leveraging knowledge of documentary, docuseries, competition, talk, narrative, podcast and short‑form styles.
• Lead, manage and develop the Short‑Form and Shows Development Leads, building a team structure that supports growing franchise ambitions.
• Make hiring cases and bring in specialist producers or development leads as the slate expands.
• Drive franchise and IP development, turning successful formats into enduring properties.

Required profile

• Proven experience in video content development and scaling formats across multiple platforms.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing creative teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to assess market potential and drive growth.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of various video formats (short‑form, documentary, docuseries, competition, talk, narrative, podcast).
