Head of Performance Marketing (London)

About the role

Footballco is seeking an experienced Head of Performance Marketing to lead global paid campaigns across social, search and arbitrage channels. Based in London, you will work closely with internal affiliate, client services, ad operations and social teams as well as external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a three‑year strategy to scale paid marketing operations.
• Implement best‑practice optimisation to meet strict performance targets.
• Build and manage third‑party relationships to support global performance marketing.
• Serve as the resident expert on performance marketing platforms for internal teams and clients.
• Manage relationships with publishers, media and social vendors to maximise campaign performance.
• Continuously test new tactics, partnerships and product features.
• Contribute to the development of website, app and product functionality.
• Oversee budget management to ensure channels stay within budget and hit KPIs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in marketing or paid media, preferably in sports, ticketing or betting.
• Proven track record of driving performance and meeting ambitious targets.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data‑driven insights.
• Excellent project‑management skills, able to juggle multiple campaigns.
• Deep knowledge of social, search and publishing platforms and existing relationships with major platforms.
• Experience running global or multi‑region campaigns and optimising customer acquisition cost.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and present insights to stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience handling the administrative side of paid content on third‑party platforms and ad servers.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics for campaign measurement and optimisation.
• Experience managing onsite inventory for large global publishers or websites.
• Proven ability to maintain media distribution for a portfolio of client accounts.
