Head of Processing / Transactional Finance

About the role

Finspire is partnering with a leading global real‑estate advisory firm to appoint a Head of Processing within its Central Finance function. This senior leadership role oversees the end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash and payments cycle for UK property management, managing a team of 30‑40 colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Central Finance processing function across banking, reconciliations, payments, billings and accounts receivable.
• Set and deliver the strategy and roadmap for Central Finance operations with a focus on service excellence, control and continuous improvement.
• Drive digital transformation, reducing manual work through automation and scalable processes.
• Play a pivotal role in the MRI system upgrade, from pilot to full implementation.
• Identify, prioritise and deliver automation opportunities across transactional finance processes.
• Manage operational performance, capacity planning, resource allocation and service delivery.
• Own the operating cost base and support divisional profitability.
• Assess and report on risk, compliance, controls and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large transactional finance or shared‑services teams (30‑40+ staff).
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on operational leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate transformation roadmaps into measurable results.
• Experience managing high‑volume finance operations handling billions of transactions.

Required skills

• MRI finance system implementation and upgrade experience.
