Health, Safety & Compliance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Compliance Manager to lead safety across a portfolio of premium residential buildings in Manchester. You will act as the subject‑matter expert, ensuring compliance with legislation and shaping future safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead health, safety and building compliance for multiple residential developments.
• Ensure adherence to the Building Safety Act 2022 and related regulations.
• Maintain safety documentation, safety cases and the Golden Thread of information.
• Oversee fire safety, asbestos, legionella, gas, electrical safety and other statutory obligations.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify risks, manage remedial action plans and drive continuous improvement.
• Support accident, incident and near‑miss investigations.
• Review and approve contractor RAMS and monitor contractor compliance.
• Develop and deliver health and safety guidance and training to operational teams.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health & safety and compliance management within the residential sector.
• Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and high‑risk residential compliance.
• Ability to influence culture, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
