Homeownership Specialist – Property / Block Manager

About the role
The Homeownership Specialist will take full ownership of a varied portfolio of leasehold properties, ensuring each site meets health and safety standards and lease obligations. You will split your time between site inspections, office collaboration and remote work, delivering a high‑quality service to leaseholders. This three‑month temporary position offers a blend of autonomous responsibilities and team interaction.
Key responsibilities
- Attend each site at least twice a week to conduct inspections, identify repairs and monitor compliance.
- Visit the Manchester office weekly to coordinate with finance, compliance, customer service and major works teams.
- Manage leasehold services including LPE1 packs, permissions, lease interpretation, staircasing, extensions, resales and other transactions.
- Provide clear written and verbal communication to leaseholders, attend meetings and build trust.
- Carry out regular health‑and‑safety inspections, flag hazards and arrange remedial actions.
- Work with finance to set service‑charge budgets, monitor spend, manage variances and maintain sinking funds.
- Support planning and delivery of major works, ensuring proper Section 20 consultation and execution.
Required profile
- Proven leasehold management experience with solid knowledge of leasehold and service‑charge legislation.
- Strong budgeting and financial monitoring skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, confident when dealing with leaseholders.
- Analytical mindset with strong numeracy and comfort handling financial data.
- Self‑managed, able to prioritise tasks, maintain a diary and work independently.
