Hospitality Trainer – Hybrid (York area)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join HIT Training as a Hospitality Trainer. You will deliver hands‑on training to apprentices across the York area, combining workplace visits with flexible home‑based work.

Key responsibilities

• Guide apprentices at all levels, developing their hospitality skills and confidence.
• Deliver practical training in essential techniques and customer service at our Hospitality Academy.
• Personalise learning plans to match each apprentice’s needs.
• Demonstrate core competencies such as communication, teamwork and problem‑solving within a hospitality context.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, providing regular progress updates.
• Manage administrative tasks and plan schedules using Google Suite and other systems.
• Travel up to three days per week within the York area to visit apprentices, with remaining time working from home.

Required profile

• Proven experience at a hospitality management level (e.g., F&B, housekeeping, front office, events, kitchen).
• Relevant professional qualification in hospitality or a related field is desirable.
• Level 2 (GCSE) qualification in English and maths, or willingness to achieve it.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for local travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite and similar digital tools.
