Hourly Paid Lecturer – Graphic Design

About the role

The London College of Contemporary Arts is seeking an enthusiastic, hourly‑paid Lecturer to deliver practice‑based Graphic Design education. You will join a vibrant academic team that blends industry relevance with creative teaching, supporting students across a range of design disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and workshops covering branding, digital, UX/UI, motion graphics, editorial, and 2D/3D design.
• Develop and update curriculum content to reflect current industry trends.
• Guide students through live briefs, industry collaborations, and portfolio development to enhance employability.
• Contribute to research, scholarship, and professional practice within design and digital media.
• Participate in flexible teaching schedules, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Required profile

• Relevant BA (Hons) in Graphic Design or related field, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
• Significant industry experience in branding, digital, UI/UX, motion graphics, or editorial design.
• Teaching experience in higher education, ideally within the UK sector.
• Commitment to inclusive, innovative teaching for diverse student cohorts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign.
• Proficiency with Adobe After Effects.
• Proficiency with Figma.
