Housekeeper – Community Cleaning Specialist

About the role

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the community, including external litter, internal communal spaces, reception, offices and amenities, to ensure a positive resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean reception areas, offices, common spaces and restrooms on a daily basis.
• Perform daily litter picks across all external areas of the community.
• Check and clean amenity areas each day, ensuring they are presentable.
• Refresh empty rooms, apartments and show flats throughout the day to keep them market‑ready.
• Conduct weekly deep clean (flush down) of empty rooms and apartments in line with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Assist the Community Manager with make‑ready tasks and other duties as required.
• Report any hazards or safety concerns to the Community Manager promptly.
• Log maintenance issues with the Customer Service team when identified during cleaning duties.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request re‑orders when needed.

Required profile

• Ability to read and write English to understand safety labels, COSHH policy and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations.
• Experience using and maintaining cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Previous experience cleaning in a customer‑occupied environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment.
• Good customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
