Housing Services Manager

About the role

The Housing Services Manager will lead day‑to‑day operations for a mixed‑tenure community of around 600 homes in Waterlooville. This site‑based position combines tenancy management, estate upkeep and resident engagement to create a thriving neighbourhood.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee housing operations across the estate, including tenancy sustainment and enforcement.
• Manage anti‑social behaviour and safeguarding cases, working with external agencies.
• Conduct estate inspections, ensure compliance with health & safety standards, and address defects with developers.
• Coordinate on‑site contractors and service delivery.
• Support resident engagement initiatives and resolve complaints in line with Ombudsman expectations.
• Drive rental performance, arrears management and KPI achievement.
• Provide line‑management to a Housing Services Assistant.

Required profile

• Previous operational housing management experience within a Registered Provider or Local Authority.
• Strong understanding of tenancy management, anti‑social behaviour and sustainment.
• Experience working with vulnerable residents and safeguarding processes.
• Knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work confidently in a fast‑moving operational environment.
