Human Resources Advisor

About the role

The European business of a global organisation is seeking an HR Advisor to provide generalist HR advisory support across the region. The role will partner closely with managers, offering trusted advice throughout the annual HR cycle and supporting flexible/agile working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a generalist HR advisory service to the European division.
• Collaborate with talent acquisition teams and oversee recruitment campaigns where needed.
• Produce contractual documentation such as offer letters, contracts and variation letters.
• Support the enhancement of the global HR Information System, including testing, training and user support.
• Monitor and report HR metrics to aid decision‑making.
• Assist with the annual HR calendar activities: pay reviews, objective setting and performance reviews.
• Participate in European projects and initiatives.
• Carry out job architecture assessments to inform compensation and development strategies.
• Contribute to diversity and inclusion improvement efforts.

Required profile

• Graduate‑level education with experience in a generalist HR advisory role.
• Working towards or holding further CIPD qualifications.
• Strong planning, organisational and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Experience in a complex or multinational environment.
• Pro‑active, hands‑on attitude with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of HR information systems.
• Experience with Mercer Job Architecture.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
