In-Work Support Worker – Employment Support

About the role
The In‑Work Support Worker provides face‑to‑face assistance to disabled individuals within their workplaces, helping them succeed and move towards independence. Working under the guidance of a supervisor, the role bridges the needs of the employee and the employer.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver direct, on‑site support to disabled people according to personalised support plans.
- Assess workplace tasks and identify any adjustments required for the individual.
- Follow bespoke support plans to enable the employee to meet employer expectations.
- Provide weekly feedback to the supervisor, highlighting progress and any new support needs.
- Collaborate with employers to build their confidence in managing and training disabled staff.
Required profile
- Willingness and ability to work face‑to‑face with disabled individuals.
- Capacity to follow detailed support plans and report on outcomes.
- Strong communication with both supervisors and employers.
- Commitment to promoting independence for disabled employees.
