Independent Financial Adviser – Leeds

About the role

Templegate Recruitment is seeking an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join a well‑regarded, small financial planning firm in Leeds. You will take over an existing client bank and work closely with the Managing Director to support and grow client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic financial advice to new and existing clients across investments, pensions and protection.
• Manage and develop client relationships, conducting meetings and annual reviews.
• Assess clients’ financial circumstances, objectives and risk appetite and produce suitable planning recommendations.
• Work with the paraplanning and administration teams to ensure compliance and accurate documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client records and support the business’s continued growth.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Financial Adviser with a Level 4 Diploma minimum.
• Previous experience in an IFA or financial planning environment, managing an existing client bank.
• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and wider financial planning.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and a client‑focused approach.
• Highly organised, able to work independently and as part of a small team.

Required skills

• Experience using Intelligent Office (IO) software.
• Experience using Defaqto platforms.

• Salary around £50,000, negotiable based on experience.
