About the role
The Information Technology Technician will join the IT team at St Gemma’s Hospice, supporting digital systems that enable high‑quality patient care and efficient operations across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software, network and clinical systems across hospice and retail locations.
- Provide technical advice to users while maintaining agreed service levels.
- Implement and support IT projects as required by the business.
- Line‑manage analysts within the IT team.
- Ensure effective use of the digital workplace and collaboration tooling.
Required profile
- Experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support in a complex environment.
- Relevant technical qualifications or progress towards them (e.g., IT degree, Level 3/4 apprenticeship, BTEC).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, ideally ITIL Foundation.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Experience in a healthcare or public‑sector environment is advantageous.
Required skills
- Hardware, software and network troubleshooting.
- Windows OS and server administration.
- Microsoft 365, Microsoft Endpoint, Azure.
- Fortinet firewall management.
- ITIL Foundation.
- Power Automate workflow automation.
