Insolvency Manager / Senior Insolvency Manager – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Insolvency Manager or Senior Insolvency Manager to join a growing Restructuring Advisory team in Manchester. The role involves working on a mix of advisory and formal insolvency engagements, supporting distressed companies through cash‑flow reviews, options analysis and case management. You will operate in a hybrid environment, balancing office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and comment on financial information, including management accounts, audited accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Identify unusual trends, assess their causes and link operational insights to financial data.
• Review and critique financial models, ensuring assumptions are robust.
• Manage a portfolio of insolvency cases (administrations, CVLs, WUCs, CVAs, bankruptcies) and supervise case progression.
• Ensure statutory compliance throughout each engagement.
• Lead case planning, strategy development and execution with minimal supervision.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, legal advisors, accountants and agents.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA or ACCA); JIEB or CPI qualification is advantageous.
• Proven experience managing insolvency or restructuring assignments.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
• Leadership experience with a track record of developing teams.
