Insurance Business Development Executive – Hybrid (London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Business Development Executive to join a leading independent broker in North London. The role combines hybrid working with a focus on generating new insurance business across General, Commercial, or Employee Benefits lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow a book of insurance business using warm leads, self‑generated prospects and personal networks.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality service to maximise revenue.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities through proactive networking and market research.
• Collaborate with the broking team to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.

Required profile

• Proven track record in new‑business development within the insurance sector.
• Strong sales ability and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to professional development, ideally holding or studying towards CII qualifications.
• Technical knowledge of a specialist insurance area (General, Commercial, or Employee Benefits).

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of insurance products relevant to the chosen specialist area.
• Knowledge of CII qualification standards.

• Negotiable base salary of £50k‑£60k.
