Interim Finance Business Partner – Public Sector

About the role

This interim position supports a public‑sector organisation by delivering financial insight and helping senior leaders make informed decisions. The role is ideal for an experienced finance professional looking for a 14‑month contract with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Provide robust financial analysis to underpin strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with non‑finance senior stakeholders to manage and monitor budgets.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts and variance analyses for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with public‑sector financial regulations and internal policies.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend financial improvements.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and long‑term financial plans.
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating financial data into actionable insights for non‑finance teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar role.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Salary equivalent to £46,000‑£48,000 per year, paid on a daily rate basis.
