Interim Financial Controller – Hands‑on Finance Role

About the role

This interim position offers a hands‑on Financial Controller role at a critical point in the finance calendar. You will combine strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to roll up your sleeves and execute journal entries, while delivering key financial reports for UK and European operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the production of year‑end statutory accounts.
• Lead and deliver month‑end reporting and close activities.
• Perform gross profit analysis and provide insight into margin performance.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and related reporting.
• Support day‑to‑day finance operations across UK and European entities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with statutory accounts production.
• Proven track record of month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on attitude, comfortable preparing journal entries and detailed analysis.
• Experience with intercompany accounting; exposure to European entities is a plus.
