Interim Head of Culture Change and Engagement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Culture Change and Engagement to lead strategic people‑focused initiatives for a large, complex organisation in Birmingham. This senior, temporary assignment offers a hybrid working model and a day rate of £400, providing a unique opportunity to influence organisational transformation and employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver multi‑channel engagement and communication strategies that align with culture transformation goals.
• Develop and embed cultural change programmes that foster dialogue, strengthen employee engagement and support organisational change.
• Act as a strategic adviser to senior leaders on engagement, internal communications and change messaging.
• Collaborate with people, OD, communications, analytics and policy teams to ensure alignment with wider transformation objectives.
• Use audience insight, feedback and performance data to evaluate and continuously improve engagement interventions.
• Support the creation of digital employee experience platforms and self‑service content.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in engagement, cultural change, organisational development or internal communications.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑channel engagement strategies in complex organisations.
• Strong analytical capability to use employee voice and performance metrics to drive impact.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate transformation priorities into clear messages.
