Interim Management Accountant – 2 months

About the role

Our client, a leading Media and Entertainment business in London, needs an immediate interim Management Accountant for a two‑month assignment. You will join the finance team to ensure accurate processing of payables, receivables and month‑end activities while supporting internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions in line with company policy.
• Allocate receipts, reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform daily bank postings and reconciliations.
• Handle finance queries via shared inboxes, providing timely resolutions.
• Build relationships with suppliers, resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
• Prepare and post accounting journals, including month‑end adjustments.
• Maintain pre‑payments and accruals according to accounting standards.
• Assist with balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Immediate availability or notice period of one week or less.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
